CSC Costruzioni wins a contract for a large urban development in Lausanne

22/10/2018

CSC Costruzioni, in consortium with parent company Salini Impregilo S.p.A (now Webuild), has won a contract worth more than 100 million Swiss francs for the commercial and residential development of a new neighborhood in Lausanne. It is the most challenging civil construction contract won by CSC Costruzioni in the country in recent years.

The project, commissioned by SBB Real Estate, the real estate arm of the Swiss rail operator, involves the construction of a new neighborhood to be named Parc du Simplon, with the design and construction of 10 buildings with associated public spaces. Adjacent to the Renens train station, located in western Lausanne, the project will include two office buildings, most of which will be occupied by the SBB regional headquarters, and eight residential buildings, with a total of 200 apartments.

Just over a year after the opening of the Lausanne branch, the Parc du Simplon total undertaking project represents the fourth project to be acquired by CSC Costruzioni in Suisse Romande. The number and importance of work acquired in the area confirm the success of CSC Costruzioni 's new organization and business strategy.

The entire management would like to thank the colleagues who have participated with extreme commitment and dedication over the past six months in the study of the offer, its various revisions, and the negotiation sessions with the client.
