Magdalena Tunnel: circular economy in the pipeline to counter the effects of drought and sustainably support the local economy

Chiomonte, July 15, 2022 - Managing according to a circular economy logic the groundwater intercepted in the Magdalena Tunnel is the idea that is being realized at the csc costruzioni sa construction site in Chiomonte, the main Italian construction site of the Turin-Lyon railway line. For the entire period of the water emergency, the mountain water collected during the work will in fact be used to safely irrigate the area's vineyards. A project developed to support the local economy in this part of Italy, which is among the areas declared under a state of emergency due to the severe drought that is affecting the country.
