Design and construction of the Multifunctional Facility

The design and construction of the Multifunctional Facility continue as part of the New Railway Industrial Facility (NSIF) project in Arbedo-Castione, a project led by CSC Costruzioni.
Following the laying of the foundation stone in September 2025, the construction site has been operational since October and currently involves 200 workers and 25 staff members. The completion of the works is scheduled for 2028.
The project includes the production and pouring of more than 45,000 cubic meters of concrete, the installation of 10,000 tonnes of primary steel structures, and the use of 5,000 tonnes of reinforcing steel, across a total surface area of 50,000 m², with up to 12 cranes operating simultaneously.
Particular attention is being given to sustainability, including the use of electric bicycles for on-site mobility and containers equipped with photovoltaic panels.
A project that combines technical strength, organization, and industrial vision, serving a strategic infrastructure for the region.
